Music as Medicine
The idea of music being used as a tool in emotional healing has been around for decades. However, the notion that music can also be used to aid in physical illness is new and uncharted territory. Recent studies have shown that music actually has many physical medicinal uses. Whether you prefer classical, jazz, or even punk rock, musics rhythm and beat is soothing to a healing brain. Although many have argued in the past that music's healing ability is a mire placebo effect, more and more research is proving that this is false. The proof of its power is in the results of real patients healing faster, and more efficiently. The possibilities music holds are endless, and still not 100 percent known. Even though there is a large unknown in using music in a medical setting, it should not be over looked as a method to aid in recovery.
